Cytokeratins, also called keratins or simply CKs, are a family of fibrous structural proteins and a major structural component in the outer layer of human skin, as well as hair and nails.  There are 20 human epithelial keratins which can be divided into two subfamiles: acidic and basic (more recent human genone sequencing has identified an additional 20 members). The formation of cytokeratin intermediate filaments requires the pairing of at least one acidic and one basic subfamily member. Members of the same keratin subfamily share extended sequence homology while members of different subfamilies show only limited sequence homology.

This antibody is specific for the 56.5kDa (CK10), 50kDa (CK14), 50kDa (CK15), 48kDa (CK16), and 40kDa (CK19) keratins of the acidic (Type I or LMW) subfamily. Many studies have shown the usefulness of CKs as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis, as epithelial tumors generally maintain the same CK expression patterns as their counterpart normal tissue. PNGase F PRIME is a mutant recombinant PNGase F cloned from Flavobacterium meningosepticum and expressed and purified from E. coli. The proprietary changes made to PNGase F have been shown to have unique characteristics when compared to other commercially-available sources of PNGase F. Data generated by independent labs shows that PRIME works on native glycoproteins and serum glycoproteins in minutes at room temperature. Glycan analysis of the digestion products shows that PNGase F PRIME digestion led to more complete glycan release and also allowed for the cleavage of glycans not released by the commercially-available enzymes when used at the same concentrations with the same digestion conditions. This advancement benefits applications that seek to understand glycobiology in a natural milieu. Preliminary data indicates that PNGase F PRIME has a higher specificity towards complex (tri and tetra-antennary) sialylated structures compared to the commercially sourced enzyme. Multiple isoforms of CD45 are distributed throughout the immune system and arise due to alternative splicing of exons located in the N-terminus. CD45RA contains the A exon and is a naive T-cell marker which may help prevent autoimmune disease. CD45RB contains B and stains most leukemias and lymphomas. CD45RC contains C and stains thymocytes, monocytes and dendritic cells. CD45RO doesn't contain A, B or C and is a marker of activated T-cells that can be used to classify and diagnose and classify lymphomas. Clone 2B11 antibody will bind to all CD45 isoforms. The variation in these isoforms is localized to the extracellular domain, with the intracellular domain being conserved.
