Recombinant TDO Anopheles gambiae (from E. coli)

Supplier: Prosci

Tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase (TDO) is a heme-containing dioxygenase catalyzing the addition of molecular oxygen across the 2,3-double bond of the indole ring of tryptophan to form N-formylkynurenine (NFK). In Anopheles gambiae, TDO is the only enzyme able to catalyze the first and rate-limiting step in L-Trp catabolism through the kynurenine pathway. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid for protein synthesis and also the precursor for production of a number of neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and melatonin; in mosquitoes, the kynurenine pathway is essential for eye pigmentation. Conceivably, the tryptophan-using pathways should be regulated in a coordinated manner in mosquitoes as well as in other species and TDO activation/inactivation processes could play an essential role in these phenomena.

Anti-AGRN Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: Agr-247]

Supplier: Genetex

Agrin is an essential extracellular matrix component which promotes clustering of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) and other proteins during development at the neuromuscular junction. Agrin, MuSK and Rapsyn are all essential components for AChR aggregation, through an unknown mechanism. The C-terminal region of agrin is released into the medium, interacts with receptors on the muscle surface and induces AChR aggregation. The central region contains two O-linked glycosylation sites and a domain homologous to domain III of laminin. The N-terminal region anchors agrin to the extracellular matrix via other basal membrane components. This region also contains a protease inhibitor domain and glycosaminoglycan attachment sites; increasing the predicted MW from 200kDa to ~600kDa.

Anti-KDEL Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (DyLight® 488)

Anti-KDEL Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (DyLight® 488)

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

The tetrapeptide KDEL, located at the carboxy-terminal sequences of luminal proteins, is a retrieval motif essential for the precise sorting of these proteins along the secretory pathway. KDEL proteins perform essential functions in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) related to protein folding as well as assembly. The localization of chaperones and other soluble proteins to the ER is achieved by their continuous retrieval from post-ER compartments by the KDEL receptor (Erd2p), which is a membrane protein localized in the Golgi apparatus.

Anti-Influenza A NUCLEO Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Supplier: Genetex

The nucleoprotein (NP) of Influenza A virus encapsidates the negative strand of the viral RNA and is essential for replicative transcription. It may also be involved in other essential functions throughout the virus life cycle. As well as binding ssRNA, NP is able to self associate to form large oligomeric complexes. NP is able to interact with a variety of other macromolecules of both viral and cellular origins. It binds the PB1 and PB2 subunits of the polymerase and the matrix protein M1. "NP has also been shown to interact with at least four cellular polypeptide families: nuclear import receptors of the importin class, filamentous (F) actin, the nuclear export receptor CRM1 and a DEAD box helicase BAT1/UAP56" (Portela et al 2002).

Anti-C2CD3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-C2CD3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

C2CD3, a putative calcium-dependent lipid-binding protein, is an essential regulator of intracellular transduction of the Hedgehog signal. It is localized at the basal body of cilia, mediates calcium-dependent vesicular transport and/or recruitment of proteins and regulates cilium biogenesis by promoting the assembly of centriolar distal appendages critical for docking ciliary vesicles and recruiting other essential ciliogenic proteins. C2CD3 directly promotes centriole elongation and OFD1 acts as a negative regulator of C2CD3.
