DMNQ ≥99% (by NMR)
Supplier: Adipogen
Cell permeable, non-alkylating, non-thiol, adduct-forming, redox cycling quinone. Intracellular superoxide anion formation/ROS generation inducer. Anticancer agent. Shown to induce cell proliferation, apoptosis, necrosis and necroptosis in vitro, dependent on concentration, time, temperature and cell type. Valuable tool for the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in order to study the role of ROS in cell toxicity, apoptosis and necrosis. Useful as reference compound in characterizing the effects of oxidative stress. Can be used to eliminate any mechanistic ambiguity involving redox cycling quinoids as the source of reactive oxidant species/oxidative stress in biological studies.

3,3',5,5'-Tetramethylbenzidine dihydrochloride
Supplier: Adipogen
TMBZ is a chromogenic reagent utilized for peroxidase detection. It has been developed as an alternative to benzidine. Although the TMBZ solution is colorless, it turns bluish-green (lambdamax: 655 nm) in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and peroxidase. The structure of this bluish-green complex is thought to be a radical form of two oxidized TMBZ molecules. This peroxidase substrate is used in staining procedures in immunohistochemistry as well as being a visualising reagent used in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). The substrate produces a soluble end product that is pale blue in color and can be read spectrophotometrically at 370 or 620-650 nm. The TMB reaction may be stopped with 2M H2SO4 (resulting in a yellow color), and read at 450nm.

Human Recombinant Cochlin (from HEK293 Cells)
Supplier: Adipogen
Cochlin is an extracellular matrix protein expressed in the cochlea and vestibule of the inner ear. Mutations in the cochlin gene are linked to the autosomal-dominant DFNA9 syndrome, a disorder characterized by hearing loss. Cochlin is also expressed in follicular dendritic cells of the spleen and the lymph nodes. The N-terminus of cochlin contains a LCCL domain also present in Factor C, a serine protease of the horseshoe crab Limulus, involved in activating the coagulation cascade in response to LPS. A recent study showed that in response to inflammation, LPS or bacterial infection, cochlin is cleaved by the proteases aggrecanases and secreted into blood circulation. The secreted cochlin (LCCL domain) seems to have a role in local cytokine production, recruitment of immune effector cells and bacterial clearance. Cochlin is secreted as two forms p8 and p18, whereas p18 being the glycosylated form of p8.
