Anti-PMAIP1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Prosci
Noxa Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. The p53 tumor-suppressor protein induces apoptosis through transcriptional activation of several genes including p53R2, p53AIP1, and PUMA. A new p53 target gene, Noxa, was recently identified, which encodes a protein belonging to the subfamily of BH3-only proapoptic proteins. Noxa and PUMA are both transcriptional targets of p53 and BH3-only proteins. X-ray irradiation increased p53-dependent Noxa mRNA and protein levels. Noxa, when ectopically expressed, interacted with anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members, resulting in the activation of caspase-9. Noxa, like PUMA, localized to mitochondria and induces apoptosis in response to p53. Noxa and PUMA may represent direct mediators of p53-induced apoptosis. Increased levels of p53 and its target gene Noxa was found in the impaired tumor development.

Anti-DUSP13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy5®)
Supplier: Bioss
Members of the protein-tyrosine phosphatase superfamilycooperate with protein kinases to regulate cell proliferation anddifferentiation. This superfamily is separated into two familiesbased on the substrate that is dephosphorylated. One family, thedual specificity phosphatases (DSPs) acts on both phosphotyrosineand phosphoserine/threonine residues. This gene encodes differentbut related DSP proteins through the use of non-overlapping openreading frames, alternate splicing, and presumed differenttranscription promoters. Expression of the distinct proteins fromthis gene has been found to be tissue specific and the proteins maybe involved in postnatal development of specific tissues. A proteinencoded by the upstream ORF was found in skeletal muscle, whereasthe encoded protein from the downstream ORF was found only intestis. In mouse, a similar pattern of expression was found.Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants were described, but the full-length sequence of only some were determined.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Anti-SLC6A13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy3®)
Supplier: Bioss
The GAT1 gene family includes sodium- and chloride-dependent plasma membrane transporters for neurotransmitters, metabolites and osmolites, which couple substrate flux to transmembrane electrochemical gradients. PROT (Sodium-dependent proline transporter), also known as Solute carrier family 6 member 7, is a 636 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that is a GAT1 family member specifically expressed in regions of the brain. PROT terminates the action of proline by its high affinity sodium/chloride-dependent reuptake into pre-synaptic terminals. Enriched in glutamatergic synaptic terminals, it is likely that PROT plays an important role in excitatory events of neurotransmission. PROT-mediated proline uptake is inhibited by compounds such as benztropine, LP-403812 and Des-Tyr-Leu-enkephalin (GGFL). These inhibitors of proline uptake may lead to the development of therapeutic agents for certain neurologic disorders.

Anti-EFCAB13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (FITC (Fluorescein Isothiocyanate))
Supplier: Bioss
C17orf57 is a 973 amino acid protein that is encoded by a gene mapping to human chromosome 17. Chromosome 17 makes up over 2.5% of the human genome with about 81 million bases encoding over 1,200 genes. Two key tumor suppressor genes are associated with chromosome 17, namely, p53 and BRCA1. Tumor suppressor p53 is necessary for maintenance of cellular genetic integrity by moderating cell fate through DNA repair versus cell death. Malfunction or loss of p53 expression is associated with malignant cell growth and Li-Fraumeni syndrome. Like p53, BRCA1 is directly involved in DNA repair, specifically it is recognized as a genetic determinant of early onset breast cancer and predisposition to cancers of the ovary, colon, prostate gland and fallopian tubes. Chromosome 17 is also linked to neurofibromatosis, a condition characterized by neural and epidermal lesions, and dysregulated Schwann cell growth. Alexander disease, Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome and Canavan disease are also associated with chromosome 17.

Anti-CYP2A13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Prosci
CYP2A13 is a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum. Although its endogenous substrate has not been determined, it is known to metabolize 4- (methylnitrosamino)-1- (3-pyridyl)-1-butanone, a major nitrosamine specific to tobacco. This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes.
