1,2,6-Hexanetriol ≥97% for synthesis
1,2,6-Trihydroxyhexane is a stable, high boiling, liquid polyol that is miscible with water and is non-toxic. 1,2,6-TRIHYDROXYHEXANE is used in cosmetic and pharmaceutical cream formulations as a moisturizing agent (humectant). Its excellent solvent properties also lend it useful in as a carrier solvent for ink and paint formulations, as well as in photographic and textile formulations. Due to the interesting physical and chemical cross-linking properties of this triol, it finds utility in the manufacture of synthetic resins, alkyd resins, plasticizers and polyurethane systems.
