Rapid Flash Testers, Koehler
Product Details & Documents
Units verify flash point or sustained burning qualities of small samples
Open cup models are used for determining sustained burning characteristics of mixtures of flammable and nonflammable liquids or liquids with widely different flash points when assessing flammability characteristics; temperature range is ambient to 100°C (212°F). Closed cup models are used for routine flash point testing in the range of –30 to 300°C (–22 to 572°F). Closed cup testers with an aluminum test cup have a brass lid and shutter; stainless steel test cup testers are furnished with a stainless steel lid and shutter.
Conform to specifications: ASTM D3278, D3828, D4206; IP 303, ISO 3679, ISO 3680, ISO 9038; DOT CFR 49-173.115; IATA.
Flash/No flash test results are acheived in one minute for flash points below 100°C (212°F) with a 2mL sample. Devices feature automatic temperature control with °C/°F selector switch, syringe, electronic timer, integral NIST traceable thermometer, and an external fuel cylinder valve.
