4CN (4-chloro-1-napthol) is a reliable substrate for detection of membrane-bound proteins
4CN provides an ideal alternative to other, more sensitive substrates where background is a problem. It is provided in a convenient, 2-component format, mix-and-use format.
4CN produces a dark purple precipitate at the reaction site in the presence of peroxidase-labeled conjugates. It is recommended for membrane assays and dot blots.
