G-Biosciences' Micro HOOK™ Biotin Labeling Kits are designed to label small amounts of protein primary amines

G-Biosciences offers the following HOOK™ Amine Reactive Biotin Reagents in the micro format: 1. HOOK™ Sulfo-NHS-Biotin (shortest spacer arm), 2. HOOK™ Sulfo-NHS-LC-Biotin (longer spacer arm), 3. HOOK™ Sulfo-NHS-SS-Biotin (cleavable), and 4. HOOK™ NHS-dPEG₄-Biotin (pegylated reagent; enhances water solubility).

G-Biosciences' Micro HOOK™ Biotin Labeling Kits are designed and supplied with all the necessary reagents, equipment and instructions necessary for optimal reaction conditions, efficient labeling, removal of unbound biotin, and quantification of biotin labeling, for the conjugation of biotin to protein primary amine groups.

In addition to the biotin reagent, each G-Biosciences kit is supplied with a specific Optimizer Buffer™ for enhanced conjugation, and Spin-OUT™ desalting columns for rapid purification of labeled proteins. These simplify the labeling process and ensure high levels of biotin labeling. Following the labeling of the protein with the HOOK™ Biotin Reagent, the unreacted biotin and other chemicals are rapidly removed from the labeled protein with the SpinOUT™ Columns. These columns use gel filtration to remove the by-products in less than 10 minutes.

G-Biosciences' Micro HOOK™ Biotin Labeling Kits are each designed for 8 to 10 labelings of 50 to 250 micrograms protein per reaction.

Each kit is supplied with eight one milligram, single-use aliquots of specific biotin reagent to minimize waste and degradation of the NHS-ester coupling reaction group.
