A rapid-acting, persistent, and broad-spectrum antiseptic for a range of minor and major medical procedures
The antiseptic contains 2% chlorhexidine gluconate and 70% isopropyl alcohol. ChloraPrep® applicators promote a gentle friction scrub to help the solution penetrate the first five cell layers of the epidermis. The applicator promotes aseptic technique and reduces the risk of direct hand-to-patient contact, helping prevent cross-contamination. Together, the formulation and single use applicator reduce microorganisms on the skin.
