Use these kits for all types of cloning situations, from routine subcloning to making unbiased libraries from hard-to-clone DNA.

Kits use pSMART® transcription-free vectors to eliminate cloning bias and increase recombinant yield
pSMART vectors maintain unstable or toxic fragments from less than 100 pb up to 10 - 15kb
The pre-processed vectors eliminate the need for digestion, gel purification, and dephosphorylation to guarantee large, complex libraries
In addition, colony screening is not necessary, since pSMART® vectors deliver >99% recombinants

Choose the high copy pSMART-HC vectors for routine cloning or the low copy pSMART-LC vectors to clone difficult sequences. Both pSMART-HC and pSMART-LC vectors are available with either ampicillin or kanamycin resistance. The kanamycin-resistant vectors are recommended for maximum insert stability. All vectors are cut at blunt sites.

Ordering information: Kits include a vector premix solution, CloneSmart® DNA ligase, positive control insert DNA, sequencing primers, and protocols. Kits with cells include a choice of E. cloni® competent cells, recovery medium, and pUC control plasmid. All kits with cells are available with either one (SOLO) or two (DUO) transformations per tube, with recovery medium and positive transformation control. Kits without cells can be used with any E. coli competent cell strain.
