Purge and Trap syringe allows easy removal of the syringe plunger for loading water samples into the syringe barrel

Designed for the analysis of drinking water samples according to EPA purge and trap concentration techniques (EPA methods 502.1, 502.2, 503.1, 524.1 and 524.2).

Gastight® syringes are ideal for dispensing both liquids and gases. They have a precision-machined PTFE plunger tip which creates a leak-free seal. With the tight fit, the tip essentially wipes the interior of the syringe barrel free of sample. This feature is particularly useful with heterogeneous samples as it reduces the chance that a deposit will occur and cause the plunger to freeze.

An internal standard or surrogate sample can be added directly to the sample through the twist valve with a 10μL syringe. The sample syringe can also be connected directly to the purge and trap valve via the integral male luer fitting. Fluid path includes SST, borosilicate glass, and PTFE. Autoclavable. Gas sterilizable
