Two-level hematology controls designed to monitor erythrocyte sedimentation rates
Manufactured from human red blood cells, these controls verify the precision and accuracy of both manual and automated methods. ESR-Chex is assayed for the most frequently used sedimentation rate tubes in conjunction with Classical Westergren, Modified Westergren, and Wintrobe methods. The removal of sodium citrate is not required for automated and modified procedures. ESR-Chex is to be used in the same manner as a patient sample. It has an open-vial stability for 95 days at room temperature, and a closed-vial stability for one year at 2 to 10°C (36 to 50°F).
