Permanent desiccant is contained in the control unit and a red light indicates operation of the 4½ hour absorption period while a green light indicates operation of the ½ hour regeneration of the desiccant.

The cabinet features a spacious 2 cu. ft. interior volume and a large, in-door dial hygrometer for easy visualization of rH%. Two adjustable, removable, and perforated shelves facilitate full circulation of air and shelf rails can be repositioned on any one of 8 steps set at 28 mm intervals. The gasketed door opens down and closes with two latches for a tight seal. Interior opening measures 45 x 23 cm (17¾ x 9").
