Ampules are self-filling and designed for highly concentrated samples

The iron test tests for total and soluble iron using phenanthroline. Sensitivity for the total iron test is 0–120 ppm. Sensitivity for the soluble iron test is 120–1200 ppm.

The auto-dilution feature eliminates the need for time-consuming and error-prone preliminary dilutions. Each ampule has a capillary pipet attached to the tip that is calibrated to draw the correct volume for one of four dilution factors: 25X, 50X, 100X, and 1000X. Once the sample has been drawn, snap the tip, and results will appear in 2–3 minutes. Results can be quantified with a color comparator and provide an accuracy equal to a volumetric procedure that requires much more time.

Ordering information: The kit comes packaged in a plastic carrying case. The case contains 30 auto-dilution ampules, 5mL sample cup and lid, dilutor snapper cup, low and high range comparators, activator solution, micro test tube, instructions, and MSDS.
