About this item
Disposable, color-coded system for quantitive procedures such as sampling, urine counts, serial dilutions, bacteriological inoculation, and streaking
The easy-to-use, rugged handle is designed for one-hand operation and will easily puncture the aluminum sealing film, attaching itself to either loop or needle. After the inoculation or streaking process is complete, used loops and needles can be ejected from the handle. The handle can be repeatedly autoclaved without damage.
Loops and needles are inserted into racks with 96 individual tubular chambers and are hermetically sealed under an aluminum sealing film. Racks have a dust cover and are heat shrunk and sterilized by irradiation. Loops eliminate the metal or wire loop flaming process, reducing hazards of spattering and cross-contamination. Loops are flexible enough to facilitate streaking but are rigid enough to penetrate media for inoculation. All loops and needles are certified to be free of RNase, DNase, DNA, pyrogens, and PCR inhibitors. Hoops and needles are packaged in 96 racks of 10 each. Each rack contains one handle.
