Nonabsorbable, braided, sterile surgical sutures are composed of polyethylene terephthalate

Prepared from fibers of high molecular weight, long-chain, linear polyesters having recurrent aromatic rings as an integral component. The sutures are braided for optimal handling properties, and are dyed green for good visibility in the surgical field. These sutures provide precise, consistent suture tension and are indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures.
