Cry1F-2 is a parasporal crystal or insecticidal crystal protein or delta endotoxin produced by Bt, which has insecticidal activity against a variety of pests. Cry1F-2 protoxin is activated by the intestinal juice of the target pest to obtain an activated toxin fragment, which binds to the midgut epithelial cells of the pest to form holes, leading to intestinal paralysis and eventually death due to sepsis.
