Long life platinum shield-plates and quartz bonnets for Agilent ICP-MS Torches.

• Shield torch system (STS) comprises a platinum shield, and a quartz bonnet, positioned between the torch and the work coil
• Replacement platinum shields and quartz bonnets are availble for all 7700, 7800, 7900 and 8800, 8900 ICP-MS
• Long life platinum shield-plates and quartz bonnets should be inspected and replaced when there is any sign of physical damage such as cracks or chips

The Agilent plasma and shield torch system (STS) provides precise ion energy control, ensuring high sensitivity and effective interference removal in helium mode with the Agilent 7700, 7800, 7900 and 8800, 8900 ICP-MS.

The STS features a grounded shield plate between the work/load coil and the torch. Replacement long life platinum shield-plates and quartz bonnets are available. They enable cool plasma mode for the lowest backgrounds for ultratrace determination of K, Ca and Fe. STS also controls the ion energy spread of polyatomic ions that enter the ORS cell for successful interference removal.
