There are two key problems with crimping; Incomplete crimp and over crimping. Incomplete crimping can compromise the closure container integrity through ease of removal. However, overcrimping used to overcome incomplete crimping can also compromise the closure container integrity and introduce a number of cosmetic defects like buckling and tears of the skirt. The long skirt seal consists of the same great materials as our other seals, just in a longer skirt length to assure completeness of crimp.
