Sed-Chek 2 is a whole blood reference control material designed to monitor ESR procedures.
- Helps to monitor technique as well as environmental, physical and mechanical factors
- Improved laboratory confidence in accurate results
The erythrocyte sedimentation rate test is a variable test where the result can be affected by environmental and procedural factors. Sed-Chek 2, a bi-level whole blood control, was designed for use with manual methods and automated ESR analyzers to monitor ESR procedures. Sed-Chek 2 employs a unique cell stabilizing process which mimics the rouleaux formation of patient samples. Use of the Sed-Chek 2 ESR control will monitor technique as well as the environmental, physical and mechanical factors such as room temperature, tube position, vibration or instrument problems which adversely affect ESR results.
