About this item

The Leica ASP300 S is a freestanding, fully- enclosed vacuum tissue processor for programmable processing of histological tissue specimens in the fields of pathology and clinical histology.

The instrument provides three cleaning stations plus an optional connection for an external cleaning station. The 4.5-liter processing retort is made of electropolished stainless steel for easy cleaning with a contact-free optical sensor to check the fluid level. Retort capacity for up to 300 standard cassettes when using metal baskets or 252 standard cassettes when using the microwave resistant basket set for ASP300 S (optional accessory).

A selection of four further cleaning programs, which can be customized by the operator, are available. An easy-to-use remote reagent handling system can drain and refill reagent bottles from bulk containers via the retort and a hoseplugged into the processor module. The 3-step retort draining system is tailored to minimize reagent carry-over.
