Simple DNA purification from a broad spectrum of fungal species.
- Efficient DNA isolation from a broad spectrum of fungal species susceptible to yeast lytic enzyme lysis
- Genomic DNA can be used for southern blotting, PCR, restriction enzyme digestion
- Equipment: Microcentrifuge, heat block/bath
- Purity: Typical A260/A280 ≥1.8
- Yield: Up to 25 µg total DNA can be eluted into ≥60 µl
- Applicable for: All sensitive downstream applications such as qPCR and next-generation sequencing
The YeaStar™ Genomic DNA Kit is designed for reliable and efficient isolation of genomic DNA from a broad spectrum of fungal species, including A. fumigatus, A. nidulans, A. nivens var. aureus, C. albicans, pastoris, S. cerevisiae, S. pombe, and any fungi whose cell walls are susceptible to yeast lytic enzyme lysis. The kit is based on highly efficient enzyme lysis and Zymo-Spin™ column technology. Each standard prep yields about 7 to 20 µg of DNA with a size distribution of 35 to 60 kb.
