The Wizard MagneSil Tfx System provides a simple and reliable method for the rapid isolation of transfection-quality plasmid DNA in a 96-well, high-throughput format. The use of MagneSil Paramagnetic Particles for lysate clearing as well as DNA capture circumvents the need for centrifugation or vacuum manifolds, allowing DNA purification with the Wizard MagneSil Tfx System to be completely automated. An automated method has been developed for use of this product with a Beckman Coulter Biomek FX robotic workstation. This procedure requires approximately 45 minutes to process a single 96-well plate. The method can be adapted to other robotic workstations, such as the Beckman Coulter Biomek 2000 or the Tecan Genesis.
