About this item

GST (Glutathione S-Transferase) enzymes, a family of isozymes plays a crucial role in body defense mechanisms against toxins and carcinogens

The SensoLyte® GST Activity Assay Kit utilizes an optimized method for detection of enzyme activity in biological samples. The kit provides substrate for GST enzyme, which upon reaction with reduced glutathione yields a fluorescent glutathione adduct. This produces bright blue fluorescence that can be monitored at excitation/emission =390 nm/480 nm.

GSTs carry out their functions mostly by mediating their conjugation with reduced glutathione on substrates such as pharmaceutical and environmental pollutants.
