VWR® Volumetric Flasks are made from Borosilicate 3.3 glass, ASTM 438, Type 1, Class A standard

Flasks feature a flat bottom and a pear-shaped lower area with a long neck. Etched graduation markings facilitate measurements, and the flask's mouth is equipped with a joint to accommodate a PTFE or glass stopper. Calibration and toleration standards are defined in the standard specifications and practices: ASTM E288, ASTM E542, ASTM E694, and ISO 1042.

Flasks are calibrated 'To Contain' a precise volume at a particular temperature. They may be used for precise dilutions and preparations of standard solutions.
