These borosilicate glass distilling heads have an interchangeable Standard Taper inner joint at the bottom for connection to a distilling column and a full length Standard Taper 10/30 outer member to receive a thermometer calibrated for 75mm immersion.

• A tilting funnel in the head receives the condensate and normally returns the liquid to the column
• A glass-enclosed iron core attached to the funnel may be energized by an external solenoid at timed intervals to tip the funnel and deliver the liquid instead to a product receiver
• The takeoff tube has a Socket Joint 18/9 ball
• The head is completely vacuum jacketed
• The jacket has an internal bellows to allow for differential expansion of jacket and head and is silvered to improve accuracy of temperature measurements and minimize heat transfer
