Oxgall is manufactured from large quantities of fresh bile by rapid evaporation of the water content. Bile is composed of fatty acids, bile acids, inorganic salts, sulfates, bile pigments, cholesterol, mucin, lecithin, glycuronicacids, porphyrins, and urea.
