Todd Hewitt Broth is a general-purpose medium, which primarily is used for the cultivation of beta-hemolytic strepto-cocci, especially for serological studies.

Contains peptones, dextrose, and salts for promoting general growth
Dehydrated apperarance: Light beige, free-flowing

Selective enrichment broths include the advantages of both enrichment and selection by providing conditions conducive to the growth of group B streptococci while inhibiting the growth of contaminants.
