Cell Biolabs' pSMPUW Lentiviral Expression Vectors are designed to work with any 2nd or 3rd generation lentiviral packaging system
The shRNA expression vectors contain a U6 promoter. All other expression vectors contain an EF-1 promoter which is optimal for general gene expression, with the exception of our promoterless vector which is useful if you wish to clone in a gene-specific promoter along with your gene of interest. These expression vectors are designed to accommodate large inserts of 7-8 kb, and our promoterless vector can accommodate up to 9 kb. Please note that viral titers decrease with larger inserts.
However, they are optimized to produce the highest possible viral titers when used in conjunction with ViraSafe™ Lentiviral Packaging Systems.
