Sklar's Pratt Uterine Dilator are a double-ended OB/GYN instrument used for progressive dilation of the uterus.

Available in several sizes
Dilator has two different size tips
Straight in the middle, slightly curved at each end, with a smooth, rounded tip

These are most frequently used during intra-uterine procedures such as D&C and D&E. The size of these dilators is determined by the circumference of the tip and measured in French units, with one French unit equalling ¹/₃ mm.

In comparison to other intra-uterine dilators, Pratt dilators taper more gradually and are slightly lighter than Hegar dilators. They do not have a cuff to serve as a stop for depth of insertion such as featured on Hank dilators.
