Sklar's® Tischler Elliptical / Oval Biopsy Punch is a non-ratcheted, double spring OB/GYN instrument used in colposcopy procedures to obtain cervical tissue samples for biopsy.

  • 0.3 x0.7 cm Bite
  • Oval shaped tissue sample
  • Pistol style handle with one large ring for multiple fingers
  • Censitrac Ready products are industry standard and constructed of stainless steel
  • Reusable
  • Latex-free

It features a single, lower tooth used to grasp difficult to reach tissue and a locking mechanism above the horn on the handle so the jaws can lock the tissue sample into place while the instrument is removed from the cervical canal

A standard size biopsy punch may produce cause more bleeding and pain than a mini or baby punch; however, with certain diagnoses it is necessary to obtain a larger tissue sample. The length of the cannula/tip is approximately 8".

This reduces the risk of losing the tissue sample as the instrument is withdrawn.
