An economical means to extend column lifetime and improve performance, the guard columns feature a direct-connection, fingertight design for convenience and maximum efficiency. The patented Javelin design has a ¹/₁₆" CPI tip that attaches directly to the inlet of the HPLC column, without the need for tubing or wrenches. To replace, simply remove and discard the entire guard column for fast, easy change over. Javelin guard columns come in all popular Thermo Scientific phases and are available in 10 mm lengths in 4.0, 2.1, 3.0 and 1.0 mm Int.∅. The 4.0 mm Int.∅ Javelin guard is designed for use with both 4.6 and 4.0 mm Int.∅ columns. Javelin guard columns are provided in convenient packs of 4 columns, with the exception of Hypercarb which is supplied in packs of 2. Javelin guard columns with inlet tips for Waters columns are readily available upon request. Javelin guard columns are also popular as analytical columns although they are provided without QC test results.
