About this item

Methylation standard (mouse) to help determine efficiency of a bisulfite DNA conversion

The Universal mouse methylated DNA standard with the included primers can be used in conjunction with Enzo’s Blood and tissue methylation kit or the Express methylation kit. The DNA included in this set is enzymatically methylated at all cytosine positions to help assess the efficiency of the bisulfite-mediated conversion of DNA. DNA is isolated from a male mouse source. The primer set is designed to amplify a fragment of the mouse mismatch MLH1 mismatch repair gene following bisulfite treatment. The methylated cytosines comprising CG dinucleotides remain unconverted following bisulfite treatment, whereas non-methylated cytosines are converted into uracil and detected as thymine after PCR.

Universal methylated DNA standard (mouse), 250ng/µL in TE buffer, pH 8.0.Control primers 20µM each primer in TE buffer, pH 8.0

Ordering information: Contains Control primers: (mMLH1 (F) and mMLH1 (R)) 20µl each and Universal methylated DNA (mouse) 5µg/20µl.
