Ion Selective half-cells electrodes consist of two elements, a universal shaft and an ion-specific membrane module.

This module may be exchanged to measure desired ions.

Each ion-selective electrode (ISE) and each membrane module has been tested for wet-chemistry applications. It has to pass the stringent requirements of several direct measurements as well as a typical titration application.

The sodium electrode has a similar construction to a normal pH electrode but uses membrane glass with a higher selectivity for sodium.
