Human disease state peripheral blood plasma is collected in HemaCare's FDA-registered collection centers or through our hospital or physician office network from IRB consented human volunteer donors
Serological and Infectious disease testing are performed with each donation. Customers should handle product as if potentially infectious following biosafety level 2 procedures.
By default, plasma is separated from whole blood which has been collected in a CPD collection bag or EDTA specimen tubes. If possible, HemaCare will utilize any commercially available special collection tubes with anticoagulants per your specifications.
