Regardless of regulatory requirement, redundancy is one of the most important attributes in choosing a central monitoring system. A redundant system means there is a built-in backup plan for monitoring and alarm. For example, if the network connection fails there are multiple levels of alarms for notification, and data is stored on the data logger and in historical archive files. E-mail alarm notification is standard with the system, and telephone and SMS notification are optional. The system is compliant for cGMP's for continuous monitoring, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, JCAHO, CAP Requirements, USP 797 and developed under the highest Swiss engineering standards.

Hospitals and healthcare facilities require an easy-to-install system that allows free movement of equipment. The ECOLOG-NET wireless system operates on 915MHz and is truly wireless. Therefore, the transmitters are battery operated and can wirelessly send information to the data logger base station. Our wired solution is preferred in GxP or other heavily regulated environments. Our wired setup is a true wired system (meaning there is a hardwired connection between the data logger and the sensor).

The system integrates directly with existing LAN connections. Staying up-to-date with healthcare compliance rules is a must, and ELPRO is ISO17025 accredited for on-site calibrations (applicable to vaccine storage). In regulated environments where compliance is key, ease of validation and data ownership are important factors. With the ECOLOG-NET, users retain ownership of the software and data, and there is no need for reliance on a third party.

The system design is very simple, and does not require a complex network of repeaters. Each data logger, which has a display, can monitor up to eight pieces of equipment. Several data loggers can be networked together using an existing LAN infrastructure to create a laboratory-wide, facility-wide, or global installation. The ELPRO hardware setup is simple: data logger, wireless transmitter, and associated sensor for temperature, humidity, CO2, differential pressure, or nearly any 4..20 mA signal. The system provides automated alarm notification, data download, and an archive of historical data. Depending on need, the elproSUITE software offers options, ranging from basic monitoring and data analysis, to fully validated with automated reporting, system audit trail, and IQOQ templates or an enterprise solution.
