About this item
Catalase, Fungal suspension from from Aspergillus niger is long-acting, extremely stable form of catalase that is active over a wide pH range. Composed of four protein subunits, each containing a heme group bound to its active site.
- Presentation: Liquid
- Format: Fungal Suspension
- Solubility: Miscible in water
- Freezing of solutions is not recommended
Catalase is used for the removal of peroxides, the generation of oxygen and, in coupled systems, for the determination of metabolites e.g. uric acid. A very stable preparation particularly suitable for immobilization.
One unit decomposes 1.0 µmole of hydrogen peroxide per minute at pH 7.0, 25 °C
