The ALAD enzyme is composed of 8 identical subunits and catalyzes the condensation of 2 molecules of delta-aminolevulinate to form porphobilinogen (a precursor of heme, cytochromes and other hemoproteins). ALAD catalyzes the second step in the porphyrin and heme biosynthetic pathway; zinc is essential for enzymatic activity. ALAD antibody can be used for detection of ALAD by ELISA at 1:62500. ALAD antibody can be used for detection of ALAD by western blot at 0.25 ?g/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.

Antibody is purified by peptide affinity chromatography method.

Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 ?L of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL.
