The TSKgel SW mAb products consist of two specialized columns designed for the separation and analysis of monoclonal antibodies (mAb).
Compared to competitive columns, these stainless steel, silica-based TSKgel columns offer reduced lot-to-lot variation, long column life, reduction of unspecified adsorption, and superior recovery of aggregates. The TSKgel SW mAb columns utilize a unique pore-controlled technology, which produces a shallow calibration curve in the molecular weight region of a typical monoclonal antibody.
The TSKgel SuperSW mAb HR column offers high resolution analysis of mAb monomer, dimer, and fragments. The TSKgel UltraSW Aggregate column is designed with a higher exclusion limit and smaller particle size (3 µm) and is for the analysis of mAb aggregates and multimers. The larger molecular weight exclusion limit of the TSKgel UltraSW Aggregate column allows for superior resolving power for multimers and aggregates of large proteins, including thyroglobulin and IgG.
While mAb can be analyzed using many different modes of HPLC, size exclusion is best for aggregation, dimer, and fragmentation, making it the best method for heterogeneity studies.
