The middle and top plates feature 25 mm (1") diameter holes. The bottom plate is 44 mm (1¾") high and features wells tapering from 25 mm to 9 mm (1 to ⅜") to hold the hydrometer bulb. The base is 21x21.6 cm (8¼x8½") for tip-proof stability. The rack's overall height is 25.1 cm (9⅞") with handles. Steam autoclavable at 121°C (250°F).
