Although traditional 2D cell culture models are still very useful for many applications, it often doesn't reflect the biological characterization or drug sensitivity to targeted therapy of their patient tumors. 3D cell culture system is more closely able to mimic conditions in vivo in tissues and organs. The 3D system has been used to great success in personalized medicine such as disease modeling, optimizing drug discovery, drug efficacy testing and regenerative medicine.
This webinar will discuss the following topics:
- Advantage and disadvantage in 2D and 3D cell culture
- Utilizing Spheroids and Organoids for 3D cell culture
- Scaffold-free tools for 3D cell culture
- Tips & tricks for culturing cells in 3D
