Tubes are manufactured from ASTM Type 1 borosilicate glass under rigid quality control to meet exacting specifications for wall chambers and variation. T.I.R. is the Total Indicator Reading. Each NMR tube is supplied with a polyethylene cap. Disposable and thrift-grade tubes do not have caps attached; high-quality tubes are supplied with caps attached.
