Wet digestion apparatus designed to capture and neutralise any acidic fumes that may be released during the incineration of the sample. Particularly useful for sulphated ash determination, an analytical test used widely across a range of applications inluding pharmaceutical , food, chemical and environmental testing.

• Prevents release of acid fumes in to the local environment – reducing corrosion and improving lifetime of typical extraction/exhaust systems
• Halogen lamp heating quickly attains required temperatures up to 550 °C
• Reproducible optimum heating temperature-time profiles with nine storable temperature programs each with five temperature/time settings
• High sample throughput with simultaneous ashing of the contents of up to six crucibles depending on crucible size

The apparatus has two major components: a programmable hologen lamp powered incinerator B-440 and a multistage scrubber unit B-414 with integral vacuum pump.
