15(S)-HETE ELISA kit is a competitive assay for the measurement of 15(S)-HETE.
- Detect 15(S)-HETE, a product of 15-lipoxygenase treatment of arachidonic acid
- Assay 24 samples in triplicate or 36 samples in duplicate
- Measure 15(S)-HETE levels down to 170 pg/ml
- Read: Colorimetric at 405 to 420 nm
15(S)-HETE is produced from arachidonic acid by the enzyme 15-LO. In humans it is formed primarily in the respiratory epithelium, leukocytes, and reticulocytes. It may contribute to allergic rhinitis, has anti-inflammatory properties, and acts as a vasoconstrictor.
This assay is very specific for 15(S)-HETE, showing very low crossreactivity to other HETEs.
Delivery: Kit contains antiserum, tracer, standard, ELISA and wash buffer concentrate, polysorbate 20, plate and cover sheet, ellman's reagent, tracer and antiserum dye.
