ISOLUTE® C8 endcapped is primarily used to extract molecules of wide ranging polarities from aqueous samples. When analytes are strongly retained by a C18 sorbent, the slightly weaker interaction with the C8(EC) can facilitate analyte elution with smaller elution volumes. It is a non-polar sorbent, manufactured using a silane and endcapped in order to reduce the polar secondary interactions associated with surface silanol groups.
