About this item
Patulin (PAT) is a mycotoxin of the polyketide lactone type, usually produced by species of the Penicillium, Aspergillus and Byssochlamys genera.
Fruit-based products by QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe) method and solid phase extraction (SPE) followed by analysis using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography combined with electrospray ionisation tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS).
PAT may be used as a reference standard for the determination of patulin in model food matrices by 'dilute and shoot' LC-MS/MS, dairy products by QuEChERS procedure and UHPLC-ESI quadrupole orbitrap (Q-Orbitrap) mass spectrometry and apple juice samples by single drop liquid-liquid-liquid microextraction (SD-LLLME) followed by LC-MS/MS analysis.
