Cogent Amide™ has an amide functional group bonded to the silica-hydride surface direct silicon-carbon bonds. Since the ligand is attached to the surface with direct silicon carbon bonds the bonded phase does not hydrolyze in acidic conditions. Also, it does not make a strong association with acetone.
