PRP-1 polymeric HPLC columns are designed for broad ranging uses, similar to C8 or C18 HPLC materials. They combine the best characteristics of silica-based and polymeric columns resulting in highly inert and long-lasting columns. These columns are ideal for applications that require a high degree of column to column and batch to batch consistency (quality assurance, clinical trials). Unlike C8 or C18 columns, PRP-1 has no stationary phase coating. Since there is no stationary phase to hydrolyse, the column maintains its performance characteristics longer than many C8 or C18 columns.

The Microlab® 600 dual syringe diluter is a semi-automated liquid handling instrument capable of dilutions up to 1:50000 in a single step. The precision stepper motors provide exceptional positional accuracy across the range of Hamilton bubble-free prime (BFP) syringes from 10 µl to 50 ml volumes. The inert fluid path and the diluent washing of the the tubing between each sample, minimises carry-over for even the most sensitive techniques. The basic controller features a quick start and run screen for priming and programming the diluent and sample volumes, and the controller also displays the graphic pump status with animations of the fluid path and pump status.

The AutoLys tube from Hamilton Robotics is a tube-in-tube device designed to automate lysis steps for forensic, genomic or clinical research, food testing and other laboratory applications. Preparation of cleared lysates from solid matrices is a major bottleneck in many laboratories. The AutoLys filter tube is designed to be an automation-friendly solution specific to the Hamilton STAR Line of robots with the AutoLys channel. A fast, versatile HPLC column packing material. These columns rapidly and easily separate closely related alcohols and organic acids without column heating. The sulfonated poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) support separates samples by a mixed mode mechanism. A wide range of samples can be analysed with these columns because the selectivity of the column can be altered by changing the pH of the buffer or adding an organic modifier (methanol, acetonitrile) to the buffer. The stability to organic solvents makes it possible to analyse samples that have been too highly retained on conventional ion exclusion supports.

The 1800 series is the reinforced plunger version of the 1700 series syringe. Attached to the flange of the syringe is a removable blue syringe holder that prevents heat transfer, dispense inaccuracies and plunger blow outs. It also provides support to small volume plungers that are prone to bending during injection.

Hamilton CO-RE tips were designed for MICROLAB pipetting workstations in order to solve the problem of sealing and alignment plagued by press-fit tip attachment techniques. Each CO-RE disposable tip has a circular groove inside the attachment orifice. An o-ring on the pipetting channel is expanded to fit this groove precisely providing an air-tight seal and straight alignment between tip and pipetting channel.

Macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) is a homodimeric cytokine that belongs to receptor tyrosine kinase subclass III of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family. M-CSF acts on a CSF-1 receptor tyrosine kinase, which initiates signaling cascades to support cell proliferation and differentiation (Hamilton). M-CSF is produced by endothelial cells, osteoblasts, and during pregnancy by the uterine epithelial cells (Ryan). M-CSF synergizes with other factors to support proliferation and differentiation of multipotent hematopoietic progenitor cells, and regulates proliferation and differentiation of the mononuclear phagocyte progenitor cells to monocytes and macrophages. It also supports survival, proliferation, and function of the differentiated macrophages and regulates differentiation of mononuclear phagocytes to osteoclasts (Pixley and Stanley). M-CSF plays an important role in the implantation of the embryo and early development (Makrigiannakis et al.).
