Media bottles, graduated, PYREX®

These PYREX® bottles are heavy-duty, reusable storage containers for media and other biological solutions.

• Low-expansion borosilicate glass provides greater thermal strength
• All parts withstand repeated autoclaving

Bottles have permanent white enamel graduations and a marking spot. Sizes 100 ml and above feature a glass bead that indicates full capacity line. Bottles are also ideal for dry heat sterilization (180 °C) when used with optional red PBT caps and red ETFE pouring rings.

Ordering information: Each bottle includes a linerless, one-piece, autoclavable orange polypropylene plug seal cap. All sizes except the 25 ml bottle (16157-071) include a drip-free pouring ring.

Caution: Do not tighten cap immediately after autoclaving as the vacuum resulting from cooling can cause breakage. Bottles larger than 2 L should not be used with bottle top filter units or in other applications involving vacuum pressure as breakage may occur. A vented cap is not recommended for use on the 5 and 10 L bottles for venting during autoclaving.
