Desoldering Braids
After placing over the joint and pressing down with an iron, desoldering braids capture the filling metal using capillary action. Removing the weaved coil while the solder is still molten, the filled portion of the roll can simply be cut and discarded. The wicking action of the twisted copper wire protects equipment against heat damage, reduces cleanup time, and offers a higher filling capacity. Desoldering braids provide residue-free cleaning and corrective fixes should soldering mistakes occur.
